Owner - Diane Corey: received her 500 hour Yoga Certificate from Yoga Zone in New York City in 2001. She received a Level I Certificate for Children’s Yoga from Yoga Rocks!, winter 2009. Diane is trained to teach Yoga level 1-3, Vinyasa Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga for Kids, Mommy & Me Yoga and Prenatal Yoga. She has taught privately as well as in studios in NYC and on Long Island for nine years. Diane's style of yoga is fun vinyasa style open to everyone.
Michelle Watson: Has been teaching yoga for 7 yrs and is recognized by the yoga alliance. Michelles's style is vinyasa(flowing)with focus on alignment(Iyengar) Uniting movement with breath with a clear calm instructional voice.
DesireePalanisamy: Has been teaching special populations and the general public yoga and wellness programs for the past 10 years. She has over a dozen certifications which include various styles of Yoga and Pilates, as well as certifications in Nutritional Counseling and Wellness Coaching. Her yoga background and training includes over 500 hours of extensive training in various styles of yoga which include: Kundalini, Ashtanga, Hatha and Sivananda. Desiree is also currently pursuing her a certification in Anusara Yoga, and her current teaching style embraces all elements of her previous training, with an emphasis on alignment and grace. Some of Desiree's teachers and influences have included: Beryl Bender Birch, Doug Sweson, John Friend and PattabhiJois. Desiree also has a background and degree in social work and was the former owner of Breathe Yoga, Bay Shore's first Yoga and Pilates studio. Jackie Incorvia: Jackie's personal yoga practice, which began in 2005, coupled with a growing interest in Eastern philosophy took her to India in 2008 to study classical Hatha yoga. Shortly after, she earned her 200-hour certification with Yoga Teachers Training Institute in Queens, NY. In 2009, Jackie began teaching Eclectic Hatha and Vinyasa classes largely influenced by the Ashtanga system around Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. Jackie's passion to share this ancient science and deepen her own personal practice are the driving forces behind completing her 500-hour teacher training with Yoga Teachers Training Institute in December 2011. Her classes incorporate philosophy influenced by the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and inspiration that you can take off of your yoga mat, and into your life. She also integrates strong detailed alignment-oriented technical instruction to increase self-awareness and deepen the practice. Jackie's style blends several traditions to create a dynamic cohesive flow, the aim of which is to develop strength, flexibility, stamina, balance, and concentration in order to instill inner peace, confidence, and empowerment in each and every one of us.
Joann Wieber: Recieved her MA in Exercise Physiology for Teachers College University Fitness professiona. Also is a Personal Trainer. Trainied in Mat Pilates. Earned a Pink Pilates certificate Equine Pilates and Exercise. Is a Trainer Spin Instructor Cardio Training/Sculpting/Toning/Strengthen Training/Sports Specific Training/ Flexibility Training.
Jeremy Phillips:Yoga found Jeremy in 2005 as a way to recover from a tendon injury. The union of body and mind quickly appealed to the former acrobat and comparative religion student. Jeremy is registered with the Yoga Alliance and received his 200-hour certification in Ashtanga / Vinyasa. He is currently reviewing potential 500 hour programs. His practice of Hatha and Iyengar have resulted in an alignment based flow for all ability levels. His calm, caring and enthusiastic approach to life in general carries over into the studio. This combined with an extensive movement background lends a unique and comprehensive element to his classes.
Jeannie Alaimo: Has been teaching Pilates for 20 years. Her knowledge of both elignment and anatomy will give you a challenging and inspiring full body workout.
Jennifer Cerchione-Deluca: Was brought to yoga as a means of stress management years ago with the recommendation from a personal trainer and a doctor. Once a regular practice developed she began to see the benefits not only external but also internal which is what brought her to want to teach yoga and help others find the joy it has brought to her life. As a former competitive gymnast she has excellent body awareness and through her Iyengar based yoga training she has great understanding of proper alignment. Her style of teaching is a mixed eclectic blend of different styles of yoga she has practiced over the years with attention to alignment. She graduated as an RYT-200 at The Yoga Room School of Long Island/Drishti Yoga.
Marina Smith - Marina has been enjoying Yoga as a student for the last 30 years and more recently as a teacher. She received her RYT 200 at the Yoga Darshana Center. She holds certification in Yoga and the Special Child while studying at the Integral Yoga Center in New York, and Therapeutic Yoga while studying at the White Lotus Yoga center in Santa Barbara, California. She has practiced Restorative for several years and now delights in teaching it's benefits to fellow students. She is presently working toward a 300 hour Yoga Therapy certification to further my teaching skills.
